Understand the fundamentals of mindfulness

Mindfulness has become much more popular in recent years.

But with this popularity has come misunderstanding.

On this course you'll learn the key principles and structures that are fundamental to the transformative power of mindfulness.

You'll learn the theory. But more than this, you'll cultivate an embodied, experiential understanding!

Deepen your personal mindfulness practice

The foundation of teaching mindfulness is your own mindfulness practice.

It's through your way of being and personal understanding that you bring mindfulness to life for others.

As such, this training focuses on the deepening of your personal practice.

You'll learn the art of resting, embodiment, how to nourish happiness, how to embrace difficult feelings, how to grow kindness, and how mindfulness can be a pathway to insight and wisdom.

Start your journey to becoming a BAMBA mindfulness teacher

BAMBA is the British Association of Mindfulness Based Approaches and is widely regarded as the leading association ensuring high quality mindfulness teaching. To be a BAMBA-listed teacher is a sign of quality and rigorous training.

Becoming a BAMBA listed teacher involves several steps the most significant of which is the completion of an in-depth training programme lasting 12 months - this training!

To become a BAMBA listed teacher, you'll then need to complete our Level 2 Teacher Training and Assessment (at an additional cost of £325) and teach two mindfulness courses under supervision.

Teach mindfulness with confidence and authenticity

Teaching mindfulness requires 3 things: First, that the teacher has an alive embodied practice of mindfulness.

Second, the teacher has a curriculum that introduces the core practices in a way that is both relatable and inspiring.

And third, the teacher has developed the skills and capacities needed to teach mindfulness - e.g. how to guide meditations, lead inquiry and create an atmosphere of nonjudgment and shared humanity amongst the group.

On this training, you'll learn all three.

On this training you'll learn how to...

  • Cultivate present-moment awareness

You'll learn the art of living deeply in the present moment and the methods for making this a reality.

  • Develop deep embodiment

You'll learn why "dwelling in the body" is so important to all mindfulness practices and how this can enable deep ease.

  • Nourish happiness & joy

Neuroscience research shows happiness and joy can be nurtured through repeated training. You'll learn how.

  • Embrace emotions with self-compassion

Difficult emotions and experiences are an inescapable part of life. But in this course, you'll learn how to handle them with wisdom and care.

  • Nurture kindness & compassion

You'll learn that - just like joy and happiness - compassion and kindness can be developed through repeated training, bringing profound transformation.

  • Awaken insight

You'll learn how nurturing a deeper self-awareness, of our thoughts, emotions, and habits, can facilitate insights that have the power to be transformative.

  • Teach the 8-week course Mindfulness For Life

Through this course you'll be given all the resources, training and tools, you need to start teaching our 8-week course for adults Mindfulness For Life.

  • Guide mindfulness meditations

Guiding mindfulness practices requires authenticity, embodiment and understanding of the key principles. You'll develop all of this on this training.

  • Lead the Inquiry Process

You'll learn the inquiry process - a key teaching skill that can awaken appreciation of mindfulness, in someone new to the practice, as well as support their understanding and development.
