10 weekend workshops via Zoom
This is the heart of the training, where we'll explore the core themes of the training. These workshops are deeply engaging and interactive, and so we strongly encourage attendance. But if you can't make part of a session, the recording will be available on our learning platform.
Individual study and practice
As well as the weekend workshops, you'll be provided with selected readings to deepen your understanding of key themes. Through our learning platform, we'll provided audio mp3s and videos to support you in developing a daily meditation practice.
Community support and learning
You'll meet online once a month in small groups with your fellow participants to practice together and share your experience of deepening your mindfulness practice. Later in the training you'll join practice pods of 3-4 people to practice guiding meditations and leading inquiry.
You’ve seen the benefits of mindfulness in your own life...

But with this popularity has come misunderstanding.
On this course you'll learn the key principles and structures that are fundamental to the transformative power of mindfulness.
You'll learn the theory. But more than this, you'll cultivate an embodied, experiential understanding!
It's through your way of being and personal understanding that you bring mindfulness to life for others.
As such, this training focuses on the deepening of your personal practice.
You'll learn the art of resting, embodiment, how to nourish happiness, how to embrace difficult feelings, how to grow kindness, and how mindfulness can be a pathway to insight and wisdom.
Becoming a BAMBA listed teacher involves several steps the most significant of which is the completion of an in-depth training programme lasting 12 months - this training!
To become a BAMBA listed teacher, you'll then need to complete our Level 2 Teacher Training and Assessment (at an additional cost of £325) and teach two mindfulness courses under supervision.
Second, the teacher has a curriculum that introduces the core practices in a way that is both relatable and inspiring.
And third, the teacher has developed the skills and capacities needed to teach mindfulness - e.g. how to guide meditations, lead inquiry and create an atmosphere of nonjudgment and shared humanity amongst the group.
On this training, you'll learn all three.
What technology do I need to access the training?
All you need is a device that can access the internet and access zoom. Ideally you'll have a laptop, tablet, or computer. You can test zoom here: https://zoom.us/test. If you would like some help or have any concerns just ping us an email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Do you need previous experience or qualifications to join the training?
The only prerequisites to join the training is that you have completed some an introductory mindfulness of training course. If you haven't yet taken an introductory mindfulness course you can join one with us: https://www.youthmindfulness.org/pages/mindfulness-for-life-8-week-course.
I’m not a school teacher, can I still do the training?
Yes! Anybody can train with us.
When I complete this training will I automatically become a BAMBA registered teacher?
Youth Mindfulness is an affiliated training organisation with BAMBA and this training fulfils the requirement of completing an in-depth, rigorous 12-month training.
However, there are a few more steps to go through until you can become a fully registered teacher.
You must teach two 8-week courses to groups of at least three people in each. What's more you must engage in at least 3 supervision sessions over the course of the 8 weeks that you deliver the courses. You need to have appropriate insurance. And finally, you will need to complete our 12-week level 2 training and assessment at an additional cost of £325.
In short, this 12-month training is the largest and most substantial component of moving towards becoming a BAMBA-listed teacher. Delivering the 2 courses under supervision and participating in our Level 2 Training ensure you are a fully competent mindfulness teacher.
If you have any questions, please contact as at email@example.com
When will you next run your Level 2 Training?
We'll offer a Level 2 Training in 2023 after the completion of this training at a time and schedule that suits those wishing to join it.
